A common thread on archery sites is what to use for backstops and/or targets. there are, obviously, many answers, from hay bales to hanging carpets. I have arrived at two solutions that are useful to me, and i share them here. I also came up with a very neat (IMHO) little close range target for indoor practice in my low ceilinged garage, and have tucked it in here as well.
Renewable Indoor Target Box - I have a pretty makeshift indoor shooting setup at first. I wanted a backstop that would take any weight bow, and which would be renewable, i.e. not wear out. I also wanted it mobile. Here is what I came up with.
Making Your Own Burlap Bag Animal Target - This link isn't working yet. I am in the process of building a steip by step page on making burlap target bags and painting your own choice of animals on them.
A Small Target for Short Range Shooting - Living in rainy Seattle, I frequently have to shoot indoors, at very close range, and with a low ceiling to contend with. My solution has been several very short bows (56" to 60") and a very small target I developed from a popular store's advertising. Take a look.
